How Your Custom Wedding Dress Comes to Life
From your first inspiration images to final insured delivery, each custom gown moves through a carefully reviewed process.
1. Share Your Inspiration / get a quote
Send us inspiration photos, sketches, favorite gown details, or a general vision for your wedding dress.
We review the design direction, discuss feasibility, and provide a custom quote.
2. Place Your Custom Order
If you decide to move forward, we create a private custom listing outlining your order so you can securely place your order through Bella Luna Gowns.
3. Submit Your Measurements
After your order is placed, we’ll send you a measurement form tailored to your gown’s specific design and silhouette, along with guidance for any additional measurements needed.
4. Select Fabrics & Finalize the Design
Once your selections are finalized, we prepare a Custom Order Review Form documenting your design details and measurements for approval before production begins.
5. Pattern Development
For new bespoke designs only, we may share pattern or construction-stage images for approval before sewing begins. This step is not required for every custom gown.
6. Your Gown Is Handcrafted
Once the design is approved, sewing and construction begin. Your gown and any coordinating pieces—such as boleros, detachable sleeves, overskirts, gloves, or veils—are created according to the approved specifications.
7. Final Photos, Approval & Insured Delivery
When your bespoke gown is complete, we send final photos for your review before shipping.
After approval, your order is carefully packed and shipped with tracking and insurance.

Custom bridal gowns start at $1,800.
Final pricing is based on the materials and labor required for your design. Additional fabric or lace, intricate construction, hand beadwork, embellishment, and other labor-intensive details may increase the price.

Custom bridal gowns start at $1,800. Because every design is different, we quote each gown individually and, when possible, work within your budget by suggesting material, embellishment, or construction options that preserve the overall look and feel of your vision.

No. We only use premium bridal materials and never lower our quality or couture construction standards to fit a budget.
When possible, we can suggest thoughtful design or material alternatives that help bring a gown closer to your target budget while preserving the overall look and quality. If we believe a design cannot be created beautifully within the requested budget, we would rather decline the order than compromise the craftsmanship of the gown.
Yes. You can share inspiration photos, sketches, or individual details you love, and we’ll help develop them into a cohesive custom gown.
We do not provide fashion sketches for custom orders. While sketches can be beautiful, they are artistic interpretations and may not accurately represent how a gown’s proportions, fabric, structure, and details will look once constructed.
Instead, we prefer to work from real gown and detail inspiration images, which give a much clearer visual reference for how specific silhouettes, necklines, sleeves, lace, corsetry, and other design elements translate into an actual finished gown.
This approach helps create clearer expectations and a more accurate shared vision before production begins.
AI-generated images may be used as a general source of inspiration, but we do not recommend using them as the primary design reference for a custom gown.
AI can depict fabrics, embellishments, draping, structure, and movement that may not exist or behave the same way in real life. Details can also appear seamless or physically impossible in an AI image, which can create expectations that cannot be reproduced accurately through real couture construction.
Whenever possible, we prefer real gown, fabric, lace, and detail photos so we can work from materials and construction techniques that can realistically be achieved.
If you send us an AI image, we can review it and help identify which elements can be translated beautifully into a real wedding gown — and where adjustments may be necessary.
Yes. Depending on the design, details such as sleeves, neckline, corsetry, lace, embellishment, train, color, or detachable elements may be modified.
No. Our custom bridal process is completed remotely, allowing us to work with brides throughout the United States.
Production time varies depending on the complexity of your design. Some gowns require significantly more handwork—for example, designs with handmade 3D flowers may involve individually cutting, shaping, and sewing each petal.
In general, production can take up to 16 weeks. We’ll confirm the estimated production time when we provide your custom quote.
Whenever possible, we recommend ordering 5–6 months before your wedding to allow comfortable time for production, delivery, and any local alterations you may wish to make.
For new bespoke designs, yes. Because there is no existing finished gown to reference, we provide final photos of your completed gown before shipping so you can review the finished design.
For gowns ordered from one of our previously made designs, we generally do not provide final photos, since the gown is being recreated in the approved design and made to your measurements.
